Our gliding cup, reaching back on great traditions, will be staged again in August 2006, this year the 15th time. From this year on we'd like to organize this championship in Cat 2+ class, which may even prove helpful for you getting a better position on the international ranking list, further on we'd like to lure more contestants from abroad in oder to exchange experiences in a more efficient way. We named this IGC approved championship Flatland Cup, of which behind is practically the same meaning as earlier.

I beleive I dont need to describe the characteristics of Szeged in the aspect of soaring to those who already had the opportunity flying here, and those who haven't I can only encourage to have a go. We are looking forward to your arrivals in the most sunshiny district of the hungarian flatland where you may pit your wits against each other under contoured cumuluses finding shelter there from the August heat.

Your helpers may spend a relaxing time in the camp under the leafy boughs that is of a higher and higher standard. The available shack bar or just staring at pritty girls around may be suitable solutions for recharging your batteries. Your family members travelling with you should be able to find pleasant activities during the contest as there are different cultural and entertaining programs followed by each other at this time of the year in Szeged.
